Ms. Pounds handles a general litigation docket representing plaintiffs and defendants with a special focus on construction defects, professional liability for engineers/architects/insurance agents, commercial disputes, oilfield accidents, premise liability, employment disputes, and personal injury litigation. Ms. Pounds has a passion for trial work and pursues this passion by serving as an adjunct professor teaching trial litigation and coaching varsity mock trial competition teams for her alma mater, South Texas College of Law.

Ms. Pounds received her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University, and her law degree from South Texas College of Law. While at South Texas, she served as chair of the board of advocates, was a member of the dean’s list, and competed in national and international mock trial and negotiation competitions where she earned numerous best speaker awards and was inducted into the National Order of the Barristers. She also worked with the South Texas Mediation Clinic where she mediated small claims disputes in Harris County Justice of the Peace courts. She also had the opportunity to clerk for two Harris County District Court Judges, the Honorable Tad Halbach, and the Honorable Daryl Moore.
