Mr. Echols has over 20 years of experience in a variety of complex litigation fields common to Texas. His primary litigation focus has been on oil and gas, construction defect, premises liability, products liability, and high-profile personal injury cases, serving as lead trial counsel for his clients in cases across Texas and the United States. Mr. Echols’ practice commonly involves analyzing and litigating unique and intricate issues, including indemnity and insurance responsibilities, legal liability of professionals of all types, contract interpretation, and statutory compliance. He practices in both state and federal courts and is routinely engaged as counsel for matters subject to arbitration and other means of alternative dispute resolution.

Admitted:
Mr. Echols was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1994. He has been admitted to practice in all U.S. District Court’s in Texas as well as the U.S Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

After obtaining a degree in Economics from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas in 1991, Mr. Echols graduated from the University of Houston Law with a doctorate of jurisprudence in 1994. While at the Law Center, Mr. Echols served as the Publications Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law and was a member of the Order of the Barons. He also received the American Jurisprudence Award in Evidence.

Mr. Echols is an avid reader, a computer and electronics enthusiast, and enjoys running. He lives in Pearland, Texas with his son, Parker. His daughter, Taylor, lives in Austin, Texas with his granddaughter, Liliana. His parents still live in Topeka, Kansas in the home his father and grandfather built in the early 1960’s, in which Mr. Echols was raised.
